Hunterdon Bar Swears in New Officers
Peter Marra, the new president of the Hunterdon County Bar Association, was sworn in at
the organization's annual meeting, held virtually on Sept. 22. He was sworn in by Superior Court Judge Haekyoung Suh, the presiding family judge in the Somerset/Hunterdon/Warren vicinage. Marra is a certified civil trial attorney and a partner with Schenck Price Smith & King in Florham Park, representing hospitals and health care entities and professionals in complex civil litigation. He received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. During the annual meeting, Michelle M. Cresti was honored for her conduct, character and commitment to the profession and her clients as she was awarded the 2020 "Professionalism Award." Kasia Zielinski was honored for significant contribution to the Hunterdon County legal community, including volunteerism, and achieving recognition as an outstanding practitioner, as she was awarded the annual "Rising Star Award." Rosalyn Metzger was awarded the 2020 "Trailblazer Award" for advancing the law in a unique and significant manner resulting in benefit to the practice of law in the county, the public good and/or a matter of important social concern. Richard P. Cushing was awarded the first "Lifetime Achievement Award" for integrity, varied and numerous contributions, and professional achievements over the course of his career. Other officers and trustees installed during the event were: president-elect Scott M. Wilhelm; vice president Patrick Heller; treasurer Lisa H. Browning; and secretary Taylor W. Brownell; and trustees Anthony E. Koester (immediate past president); Mary Ann Bauer, Michelle M. Cresti, Diana N. Fredericks, John H. Rittley, Mark W. Yaros and Kasia Zielinski.
